Stay Safe in the Water!
Snorkeling can be easy, relaxing, and enjoyable. To reduce the
likelihood of encountering problems, remember these safety keys:
- Always snorkel with a buddy, and let someone on land know where you're
going.
- Wear flotation if you're in waves, or if you're not a strong swimmer.
- Clear your ears EARLY and OFTEN when you descend. If you feel any
pain or discomfort, immediately ascend.
- Be aware of your environment. Pay attention to currents and to
marine life such as jellyfish to avoid injury.
